X FACTOR hopeful Christopher Moloney has revealed he was persuaded by pals not to apply for years – because he would embarrass himself.
In scenes to be shown tonight, Christopher, 34, explained he had filled out the application form five times but ripped it up.
The Scouser said: “I think friends were more worried about me embarrassing them.”
He belted out Bette Midler’s The Rose and received a standing ovation.
