This watch is named as Midnight Planétarium which is created by Van Cleef & Arpels in partnership with Christiaan van der Klaauw. In addition of showing time the watch also shows the rotation of Six planets and each planet is showed by bejeweled gem stone.
Representation of planets along with it's stone colour:-
- serpentine for Mercury,
- chloromelanite for Venus,
- turquoise for Earth,
- red jasper for Mars,
- blue agate for Jupiter
- sugilite for Saturn.
Time for rotation of planets:-
The time of completion of rotation of each planet in watch is following:-- Mercury: 88 days
- Venus: 224 days
- Earth: 365 days
- Mars: 687 days
- Jupiter: 12 years
- Saturn: 29 years
Negligence of Two planets from watch:- Two planets i.e Uranus and Neptune is excluded because lengths of their orbits would make their movements on the watch imperceptible and impractical. Uranus orbits the sun in 84 Earth years and Neptune makes the trip in 164.
